Chloromancer healers are in excellent shape right now as far as balance is concerned except for one little issue in groups that feature more than one Chloro– their veil abilities (Lifegiving Veil and Lifebound Veil) do not affect other Chloros if they, too, have a veil buff up. This generally isn’t an issue if a group has both Mage and Cleric healers, but for groups that end up stacking Chloros, this sometimes presents a challenge. Chloro healers have been popular in Storm Legion so far, and some players on the official forums are asking Trion to reconsider how veil abilities work for the soul.

Daglar issued the following response regarding the suggestion:

I hate coming out and saying no, but that is what I’m going to do here.

There are no plans in to change the mechanic with Chloros where their veils do not affect other veil holders.

Trion’s stance on the matter is most likely due to a couple of reasons, one of which is probably to prevent groups from stacking Chloros in excessive numbers.

Chloros are in great blance? LOL?

You need to do some serious research (or maybe its me thats aware of this because i was part of the top end raiding progression on every fight so far in SL). Chloros currently are a one spec-ez mode to play best raid and tank healers in the game. Clerics right now are only used to heal the chloros, or to provide shields with 1 button shield spam specs. Chloros

They out dps cleric raid healers by a mile, (they do triple the dps if not more)

They out HPS the cleric cd-heavy tank heals by a mile (even with a cleric CD up and running a chloro is still superior)

Trions raid design forces on most fights the use of two bot level worth specs, puri-bot and link-bot, that are otherwise completely worthless

AKA THERE IS NO BALANCE IN HEALING. Healing in SL is worse than 1.x healing balance. It’s at a state that words can’t even describe how bad it is.

DPS balance is better than it’s ever been however, ill give them that, but you – saying here that healing is at a great state balance wise – please, unless you’re being ironic, in which case bravo, your article has managed to troll me big-time.

What do you expect when the people who write here are casual as hell. They just take crap from the dev tracker and post about it without knowing any detail–of course she wrote it’s in a good place. She doesn’t play Rift beyond some casual log in for writing on this crappy site.

LOL. This is where a simple L2P comes in. Either you are bad at playing as cleric or the cleric’s you are playing with are bad. Cholro’s may function better as tank healers, but they still need help. Try a fight without a defiler (which is a cleric btw.). Try Crucia p3-p5 without a warden, let me know how that works out.

You are just uniformed tools who follow the whines of the casual community without doing any research on what can be accomplished when a class is well played.

if you consider link-bot a balance factor then gz, you have successfully failed
