Trion Studios conducted their question and answer session on Reddit today with Scott Hartsman taking the stage. The Executive Producer took part in a RIFT AMAA, which stands for “Ask Me Almost Anything”. This meant that, unfortunately, some questions remained unanswerable, especially most pertaining to Storm Legion and patch 1.10. Still, some interesting questions did get answered, and similar to yesterday’s AUAA session with Trion’s Community Team, we received a rare glimpse into the work place where Telara comes to life.

The entire AMAA session can be found on Reddit, but for a distilled version with only the questions and answers, keep reading. Note: it’s still quite a long read, though I’ll do my best to cut out some of the unneeded fluff.

This week, Trion’s hosting a two-day AUAA (Ask Us (Almost) Anything) Reddit chat. Yesterday was day one of the chat, and Trion’s community team members– James ‘Elrar’ Nichols, James ‘Walsingham’ Weeks, and Amanda ‘Amary’ Fry answered a whole bunch of questions. The entire Reddit chat can be found here, but in case you want the short version, here it is, with only the direct questions and answers. That said, it’s still quite a long read, and you can definitely tell the team had fun with some answers!

Not all questions asked were given answers, unfortunately, but there’s still one more day of questions and answers to come. Today, Scott Hartsman is supposed to be among the team members answering questions from the community, so it’s possible that we’ll see answers to some of the more design and developer-focused questions then.

The Guild Summit in Austin, TX is less than a week away now. A lot of the Summit will be dedicated to game update 1.2, but there will be opportunities for guild leaders meet with the developers, talk about their issues and ask questions.

Now it’s impossible to have a Q&A session about guilds and not have the topic of Capital Ships and guild housing come up. As cool as those features may be, there are more pressing issues that guild leaders should be concerned about. Today’s Guild Headquarters looks at five questions that guild leaders should ask as the Summit.

Last week, BioWare hosted a pretty cool question and answer session on the official forums. Players were able to send in a bunch of questions. Some were chosen, then answered. Here are last Friday’s Q&As if you happened to miss them. Every week a new batch of questions will be answered. Some new information was revealed last Friday, and as the weeks continue, we’ll hopefully get a glimpse of some of the answers we really want the answers to.

From RIFT’s Q&A Blog, here is a Developer Q&A where we learn about Trion’s thought process is behind Planar Attunement, Raiding and more. A one thing we picked up is that they are adding a Planar Attunement respec option that is a long time in coming. It’s pretty confusing why it wasn’t in originally.

Do you have any plans to make Hammerknell more accessible to more raiders?

We’re fairly pleased with the current state of Hammerknell. That said, we always want to see more and more players get a chance to experience the zone while still being challenged and having a sense of progression. We always keep a close eye on how the community is progressing through the zone and individual encounters – for example, as you may have noticed, we recently implemented an additional reduction to the Toughness, Hit, and Focus required to be affective against Jornaru and Akylios, the final encounter in Hammerknell.

Another project we are currently working on is reducing the massive jump in power between Hammerknell (and PvP Rank 8 players) and the rest of the game. Not to worry we’re not nerfing anyone! Hammerknell and Rank 8 gear will stay as is, however most of the other 50+ gear will get upgrades. Those players who are just starting Hammerknell will thusly find it a bit easier to get started in the zone and do glorious battle with the vile denizens found within.

We know you’re undoubtedly excited to learn more about everything we just talked about – once we have more specific details you’ll be sure to know!
